I really enjoyed this podcast! I am a Navy Officer candidate and I am always interested in Naval history.
I particularly enjoyed hearing about the Line-crossing ceremony. In the documentary series ‘Carrier’ there is an episode about this very tradition. It seems the shaved heads are not so common (perhaps because the female sailors would have none of it) but dunking each other in water or other less desirable liquids seems a popular feature.
    Thanks for the podcast!
