#213 – Catholic Treasure Chest

In 1938, Pope Pius XI sent a call to the United States Church for the promotion of citizenship and faith. Response to this call led to some of the first Catholic comic books which not only relate the concerns of the American Catholic in the 40s, 50s, and 60s but also proved to be very prophetic.

What a coincidence! Last week I prepared a Catholic Roundup Digest about Catholic comics and visual arts on the web. It included a link to the Treasure Chest Comics. On the same day both you and I released podcasts linking to the Treasure Chest. Neat stuff. Keep up up the great work Father Seraphim. I’m looking forward to hearing what you have to say about them.
