#121 – Matters of Faith and Worship

vatican

In this episode, I offer my observations on the recent Moto Proprio of Pope Benedict XVI and the CDF’s statement that the Church of Christ subsists in the Catholic Church, why they are important and what they mean.

I have been listening to you for a few months and have come to enjoy your reports on Vatican communications. Keep it up. If you get a few minutes, check out our ministry podcast http://www.catholicclasses.org or search iTunes for Liturgy of the Hours or Catholic Classes. Also, I added a link to your site on our web site. Thanks for your good work and God bless you.

One more thing. I would really like to help promote all Catholic podcasts within the Christian community so that we can bump up the Catholic rankings on iTunes so as to more enable spreading of the Word. Do you think you would/could tastefully encourage your listeners to give feedback/reviews to Catholic podcasts? Our program does not have a good format for “announcements”.

    Thanks again,
    Dane

Thank you for your great podcasts. I like this one on the Motu Proprio. Just one respectful correction on an important distinction. You mentioned a few times that this gives us two ‘rites’ with the ordinary ‘rite’ and extraordinary ‘rite.’ Pope Benedict emphasized that the Roman Church still has one ‘rite’ with two ‘forms’: ordinary and extraordinary.
